Gender Roles in Phillipines

Well today we are going to learn a little bit about the gender roles in this country. In my case I have some question about it, that I think some of you have.

So my first question is what role do phillipine women play in the home?. Well some of you will think that phillipine women only take care of the house and their children, but this is not the case. The phillipine women are very respected, they handle the money, act as religious mentors, and can also make all the important family decisions. 

My second question is in the work market, who gets more jobs, men or women?, when I thought about this question, I thought I had a clear answer and that was that men get more work than women, but the reality is different and that in the Philippines both men and women have the same job opportunities. This is thanks to the economic and political changes that the country has had.

And my final question is do filipinos accept the divorce like many other Catholic countries?, and the answer is no they considere divorce negative and destructive, because a tradition that emphasizes that the family is the central social unit.
